Another issue with sugar is that it can be addictive. When we consume sugar, our brains release dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and reward. This creates a cycle of craving and consuming more sugar to experience that pleasurable feeling again, leading to a potential addiction-like response.

This can make it challenging to cut back on sugar and can contribute to overconsumption, which can further increase the risk of developing health problems.
